Eléna Esposito

Pianist

Eléna Esposito is an Irish pianist currently studying for a master’s degree in Piano Performance at the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland, supported by the Myra Hess Award from Help Musicians. A curious and collaborative musician, she thrives on working with others and exploring a wide range of repertoire.

She has performed in the Piano for Dance Festival, where her work included four-hand repertoire and improvisation with dancers. She has collaborated widely with singers in the International Women’s Day concert, Mondays at One, and numerous vocal competitions, and continues to nurture her passion for chamber music through recording works such as Judd Greenstein’s City Boy and Andrew Jacob’s orchestral piece In the Hall of the Clockwork Dancer.

Her interest in experimental sound recently led her to explore prepared piano in a performance of sonatas by John Cage. Drawn together by a shared curiosity for 20th-century and contemporary music, the duo has built a vibrant repertoire featuring works by Lili Boulanger, Grażyna Bacewicz, Ina Boyle, and Sally Beamish, alongside favourites by Debussy, Poulenc, and Strauss—and they are not afraid to venture into commissioning new pieces. They recently collaborated with composer Andrew Jacob to record the song cycle Each Filled With Good Rain. Since joining forces, Anna and Eléna have been praised for their sensitive partnership and imaginative programming, earning third place in the A. Ramsay Calder and Norma Greig French Song Prize and taking part in a masterclass with Malcolm Martineau and Roderick Williams.
