Rescheduling Golf Fundraising Day

3 October 2022

As a mark of respect to the untimely passing of my cousin Eamonn Scanlon, I wish to inform you that I am rescheduling the Irish Heritage Charity Golf Day, that was set for Thursday, 13th October 2022, to a future date during May 2023.

Eamonn’s funeral requiem mass will take place at Westminster Cathedral on Friday 14th October at 10:30am.

Eamonn Scanlon was born in Achill Island, County Mayo. He was a successful UK-based businessman, founding Modebest Builders in 1994 along with his colleague Albert Dravins. Eamonn had an entrepreneurial mindset and paved the way for Modebest Builders to become one of London’s largest Groundworks and Reinforced Concrete Frame Contractors.

He passed away on Monday 19th September, aged 57 years, after battling with an illness in his recent years. Ar dheis De go raibh a h’anam dilis

Eamonn, and his Company Modebest, were our main sponsors for our inaugural Golf Day in 2015 and again in 2016 which undoubtedly helped to establish our golf fundraising day as an annual construction event. We are greatly indebted to Eamonn.

Please remember Eamonn in your prayers, may he rest in peace.
